BIOGRAPHIES OF THE ELECTRIC SOUL BAND
CAMERON "FUNKY BASS PLAYER" CO-FOUNDER, BASSIST, VOCALIST
Cameron has been playing for over six decades, self taught, and with his best friend, since the age of four, Jody Greenidge, formed The Electric Soul Band (formerly named Us), in 1969. He is a bass virtuoso, putting together a unique style based upon Larry Graham, Stanley Clarke, Verdine White, Peter Cetera, and Paul McCartney.
ARTHUR "JODY" GREENIDGE, CO-FOUNDER, RHYTHM GUITARIST, VOCALIST
Jody has been playing for a number of years, self taught as well, with some instruction, and with his best friend since the age of five, Cameron McIntosh, formed The Electric Soul Band (formerly named Us), in 1969. Passionate about playing, he enjoys the journey and fun of performing.
JIM "ROCKIN" PAIVA, LEAD GUITARIST
Jim began his musical career at the same time as the “British Invasion” and, like many teens, picked up a guitar and has become a wonderful pursuit. He’s played in several bands since that time and is currently enjoying working with Electric Soul and their diverse catalog of songs…although his dream gig when he first started was James Brown’s guitar player!
ADRIAN "THE QUIET STORM" ATKINS, KEYBOARDIST, DRUMMER
Adrian is one of the most sought after musicians in the New England area and beyond, who has played with various groups through the years. A little known fact about him is that he is a Berklee College of Music alumni whose primary instrument was drums and percussion in addition to keyboards. He has mastered the Electric Soul sound, and we wouldn't be the same band without him.
GLENN "FUNKY G" MURPHY, DRUMMER, VOCALIST
Glenn started playing drums at age 9. A lover of all different kinds of music, he has had experience playing everything from classical to steel band. In addition to Electric Soul, he also plays with the bands OverTime, and The Last Chance Band.
JOHN "JOHNNY B" BEAUCHAINE, FRONTMAN, LEAD VOCALIST, PERCUSSIONIST
Johnny B is a dynamic and high energy front man and vocalist. He has been performing with bands in the Eastern Massachusetts for decades and has been lead singer for several high quality musical groups of various styles including; Johnny B & The Stingers, Stoney Lane, Mojo Mambo, Ezra, Mid Life Crisis and, of course, Electric Soul. His love of music and people is infectious and is the foundation of his ability to engage both his fellow bandmates and the audience in the shared experience of song, dance & celebration that we call Electric Soul.
PATTI "SONGBIRD" MURPHY, VOCALIST, PERCUSSIONIST
Patti grew up around music. Her mother and her brothers, along with other relatives, sang at all the family gatherings. She sang with choruses all through school and as an adult, joined the choir at her church, which she has been part of for over 30 years. One of her most cherished moments was to sing on stage at the Wang Center with Michael Bublé for a song with some choir members. We are grateful for the addition of her voice in The Electric Soul Band!
JULIAN "URBAN COWBOY" WARREN, VOCALIST, RAPPER, PERCUSSIONIST
Julian is the youngest son of co-founder and lead vocalist Cameron & Sharilynn McIntosh. From a very young age, his musical experience includes singing with church choirs throughout the years, as well as past performances as a guest solo artist in Electric Soul's special events. Nicknamed "The Hardest Working Roadie in Show Business Today", he not only is the equipment manager for the band, but has been an invaluable presence behind the scenes, as the camera and videotaping guy, and recently bringing a funky hip hop flair and fresh ideas. He is a welcomed addition to the group.
SHARILYNN "SENSATIONAL SHERRI" MCINTOSH, LEAD VOCALIST, VOCAL COACH, KEYBOARDIST, PERCUSSIONIST
Sherri has been singing for most of her life, singing in various choirs at church and in the community, glee clubs, and choruses, with an extensive background of multi-genres. Her principle instrument was the clarinet and has been playing the keyboard for a number of years. She also enjoys the excitement of performing in musical theater.
